Ramadan Day Four

I thank God for Ramadan, it the only balm for the fury I feel every day when I see what is happening in Gaza. When I hear politicians and those who could do something offer nothing but platitudes. What difference does it make if they are sincere or cynical?

As for those committing and complicit in this genocide I pray that they eat the bile of their words and the evil of their deeds. May they wake to the faces of each person they have murdered. May the images of babies starved be the last they see at night. May their last breath on this earth come with the memory and regret of the lives extinguished, and lies their tongues have uttered.

And yet, this, all this will not bring back a single life stolen.
