I have taken a sabbatical to volunteer, write and rediscover music. This is a rare opportunity, and yet, what a struggle to write. Why is that?
A job has a job description, goals, set points and a manager to keep you on track. If you are; a pat on the back, if not, then you will soon hear about it. But writing, writing is a lonely business. Firstly, why write, walk into a bookshop, look at all the books that have been written and published. Secondly, are you any good, am I any good? Thirdly, even if I am, who is going to read my work?

that takes faith, the faith to work and wait. A month before Ramadan, and I am afraid that my faith-well is not deep, the prospect of writing is a sorrowful one.

All right, this is the last day of February, heart of winter. Next month brings spring, my commitment is a daily post. I will share my writing steps, however tentative.
